Had to doa reset/relearn with a starscan to make it right. I have heard of a few more that have failed and one or two big cam motors that cracked the plate.-Robert

  • It's been throwing P0336 after being on the highway for 30 minutes or more for some time. I replaced the crank sensor (without the relearn) and took it for a drive last night. After a few miles, it threw P0300 and P0336 and started missing/backfiring badly (flashing CEL). I took it in for the crank position sensor relearn this morning.

The gains and drivability differnce I saw with a custom black bear tune, vs an off the shelf tuner where amazing. I still wonder how Those's canned tuners stay in bussines. A custom tune via EFI live or HP tuners, made with data logging will blow any canned tune out of the water. Whats the difference between this and a crank relearn? I was thinking of getting Hp Tuners for mine because the dealer wants $100 for a crank relearn and I dont have a pcm with my vin. By the time I pay to have it done Im 3/4 of the way to HP Tuners.
